WELCOME TO THE SURVEY!
The Addictions Nursing Certification Board (ANCB) is conducting a survey to assess the activities performed by registered nurses (RNs) and advanced practice nurses (APNs) in the field of addictions. Nurses are a vital stakeholder in understanding the need for changes and innovation to facilitate best practices to improve patient outcomes. Your participation will help us ensure that the CARN and CARN-AP certification exams accurately reflect current practice, providing essential data to validate these tests.
Who Should Participate?
You do NOT have to hold the CARN or CARN-AP credential to participate. However, there are two separate questionnaires:
1. RN Questionnaire: For RNs who are NOT in advanced practice roles.
2. APN Questionnaire: This questionnaire is for those with a master’s or higher degree who are working in advanced practice roles.*
Important Note:
If you have a master’s or higher degree but are not currently in an advanced practice role, please select the RN questionnaire. If you are not currently practicing in addictions nursing, please do NOT complete either questionnaire.
*If you are a CARN certified nurse, but working as an APN, please select the APN questionnaire
Why Your Input Matters
Your feedback is invaluable in shaping the future of addictions nursing certification. Completing the appropriate survey will take approximately 30-45 minutes. You can start the survey on your computer or mobile device, save your progress, and return to it later by using the “save” feature at the top of the screen. Rest assured, your responses will remain anonymous.
Incentives
Upon completing the survey, you will be taken to a separate database to enter the prize drawing as a token of our appreciation.
Technical Note
Some workplace networks might block access to the survey due to firewalls. If this occurs, we recommend forwarding the survey link to your personal email and completing it at home or on your mobile device.
Thank You!!!
We greatly appreciate your contribution to this critical study!
